The summer has been kind to the gardeners here on the West Coast.

We have had the pleasure of nurturing and harvesting many crops this year, with the help of our full time gardener, Dan Zeally.

The chefs and bartenders at the Gumboot have been getting creative and utilizing all the incredible Gumboot Garden bounty  – herbs for dressings and cocktails, veggies in our salads and berries for desserts. Our head Chef can often be found out back digging in the dirt, sometimes harvesting produce just an hour or so before dinner service! How much fresher can you get?

We now have so many veggies that we can’t even keep up with using everything we pick. Because of this, we are featuring a Gumboot Garden farm stand near the entrance to the restaurant. The stand offers organically grown Gumboot produce, a suggested price, and an accompanying honesty box. All proceeds go to our primary grower and investment in necessary garden tools and equipment, helping to keep us flush in fresh, homegrown produce all year round.

Come for a fresh bunch of kale and stay for a home cooked meal accompanied by one of our garden-to-bar cocktails. Word has it that there are mojitos on the go…
