We serve whole foods – and when possible use local and organic ingredients. Most of our sauces, dressings, breads and desserts are made for scratch. We try to only supplement with foods from companies that also follow our standards for health and goodness. We take the same care when choosing our meats, fish and poultry.

During the summer months organic farms from the coast supply us with tomatoes, cukes and peppers. Butcher Block in Sechelt makes up our sausages and bacon. In season, The Gumboot Gardens out back supplies us with greens and other veggies.

Vegetarians, Vegans, Gluten-free & Other Diet Restrictions

The Gumboot Restaurant prides itself on a diverse and healthy menu, and that means providing delicious food for those with specific diet requirements. Over 80% of our menu is, or can be, gluten-free. We often have gluten-free, dairy free, or vegan desserts made by the bakers next door at the Gumboot Cafe. We can substitute your bread for rice, your rice for quinoa, or your quinoa for veggies… just let us know!

Quality & Service

As well as serving quality food made from quality ingredients, we strive to make our customers comfortable. While there is nothing fast about our food, we want to get it to you as quickly as possible. If you have any time restrictions please inform your server when you are seated. You are also welcome to check out the Gumboot Café & Bakery next door for a variety of sandwiches, wraps, pizza, salads, and baked goods that are delicious and ready to go.
